Flow - Yoga with Annamarie, Logo and Identity Design

Fresh New Yoga Studio

Flowing, warmth, release, inclusive, healing, breath. These are just some of the words associated with FLOW - a new yoga studio founded by the talented Annamarie.

Our brief was to create a logo and identity that aptly represents the care and nurturing experience at FLOW Yoga.

During the concept phase we very quickly were drawn to movement and the shapes created by the body during yoga practice. Almost like a dancer flowing in and out of different shapes. Although fascinated by the beautiful forms created when joined together they became a bit fussy and confusing.

We therefore focused on one shape that also mirrored the movement of a wave (Annamarie is a keen sea swimmer so we wanted to include this if possible).

The figure is safe within a secure semi-circle that also serves as rays of sunshine and warmth.

The colours are a calming, neutral palette that also gives a nod to the sea.

The Handmade Studio Ireland, Logo and Identity Design

The Curious Cat

I was really inspired by the various colours on a spool of thread that the client showed me during a visit to her studio (the absolute joy of working with a local client). I loved how the thread wrapped and crossed over itself as it wound around the spool.

Within this concept I combined these strong lines with the client’s love of cats!

Patterns and mixing shapes are at the forefront of this concept. This is achieved through solid lines married with shapes and repetition. The design is contained within a shape consisting of solid dark lines to give the logomark a focal point.

From our first conversation we knew that this rebrand needed to include various logos and icons within the logo family to ensure they responded appropriately to the various application situations (from the colourful website to tiny monotone tags).

Ivyhill Digital, Logo and Identity Design

Bright and Brave New Company

Johanne is the very talented woman behind Ivyhill Digital - a digital marketing company. She is driven, hard working, approachable and on a mission to help small businesses become more visible and accessible in this growing market.

We wanted to create a logo that worked on a large scale but equally on a small scale - particularly within the confines of the ever important social media profile circle.

After exploring various concepts (mainly around the ‘ID’ as a monogram logo) we just couldn’t resist exploring the ivy leaf as a primary concept. The ivy leaf was stripped back to its bare structure in an effort to avoid a very botanical or feminine image.

This resulted in the final 3 triangles form. This was then tilted on its side to echo the hills and to reveal an arrow both signifying direction and strength.

The colours consist of a strong professional navy alongside a slightly more playful green as a subtle nod to the ivy and where it all began.
